Shelly Matthews
She has been researching my family tree for almost 10 years, and I have a particular interest in Belfast history as it is where I was born and grew up but I have extensive experience in all Irish, English and Scottish records. I have been living in Australia since 2008.
She is also a member of some Irish Genealogy groups and through them have had some of my research published. One of these is for “A Few Forgotten Women” project which delves into the available Irish and English census. We take the available research and then create stories about the women whose lives would otherwise have been lost or forgotten forever.
Shelly had recently been approached to create research and create family trees for other people which now takes up a lot of my time. I have also shared many of these stories on 3zzz Radio 92.3FM where I volunteer and host several shows a year.
